SPASE is a multidisciplinary architecture and building surveying practice based in Dorset at Athelhampton House. We provide integrated services across architecture, building surveying, and project delivery, working with clients from early feasibility through to completion.
We operate primarily across Dorset and the wider South West, and take on selected projects further afield across the South of England, particularly where schemes involve complex heritage, rural, or technical constraints.
Our work is best suited to rural and historic contexts where careful design, planning strategy, and technical coordination are essential. This includes the adaptation and reuse of existing buildings, listed and heritage assets, estate and farm diversification projects, and sensitive new-build development in countryside locations. We also support clients seeking to reduce carbon impact and improve the long-term performance of their buildings.
Typical projects include feasibility studies, planning applications for change of use or new development, new-build rural buildings such as visitor or commercial facilities, and the conversion of existing agricultural or estate structures into viable commercial uses.
