1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of RuralDiversification.co.uk and participation in the Rural Diversification Collective. By accessing the website, creating an account, publishing content, purchasing a supplier listing, or attending an event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

RuralDiversification.co.uk is an online publishing platform and network for landowners, rural businesses, advisers, suppliers and professionals involved in rural diversification, estate development, tourism, leisure, heritage conservation and related professional services.

These Terms apply to all users: free members of the Rural Diversification Collective, paid suppliers with directory listings, contributors, event attendees and any person submitting material to the website.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use this website. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes are published means you accept the revised Terms.

2. About RuralDiversification.co.uk

The platform comprises two types of participation:

Free Members: Landowners, businesses, consultants and professionals who access content and participate in the Rural Diversification Collective network.

Paid Suppliers: Businesses that pay a listing fee to advertise their services in the supplier directory. See Section 8 (Supplier Listings).

We do not guarantee that all content will be complete, accurate or up to date. Use of the website and reliance on any material is entirely at the user’s own risk. You should seek independent professional advice before making any business, planning, financial, legal or investment decisions.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not:

Damage, interrupt or interfere with the operation of the website or other users’ access to it

Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or connected systems

Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material

Copy, reproduce, republish or distribute content without permission (except normal linking)

Use the website in a way that is misleading, defamatory or likely to damage the reputation of the platform, Collective or any person or business featured on the site

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or terminate access to the website at any time if we believe these Terms have been breached or the website may be exposed to risk.

4. Accounts, Membership and Registration

When creating an account, you must ensure that information you provide is accurate and kept up to date. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.

We may approve, refuse, suspend or remove accounts at our discretion. This includes supplier accounts, member accounts and contributor accounts. We are not required to provide a reason where we believe action is necessary to protect the website, its users or its reputation.

Access to restricted content may be limited or withdrawn at any time.

5. Supplier Listings

Important: No Vetting or Endorsement

RuralDiversification.co.uk does not conduct background checks, verification of qualifications, insurance status, or suitability assessments of suppliers. Inclusion on the website and the Rural Diversification Collective does not mean we have vetted, approved, endorsed or recommended any supplier or their services.

Users are entirely responsible for carrying out their own enquiries and due diligence before appointing any consultant, contractor, adviser, operator or service provider. We accept no responsibility for the quality, legality or suitability of services provided by any supplier listed on this website.

Supplier Responsibilities

If you are a paid supplier with a directory listing, you must ensure that all information provided in your profile, listing, article or promotional material is accurate and not misleading. You are responsible for:

Verifying your own business legitimacy, qualifications, insurance and compliance with all relevant regulations

Ensuring all descriptions of your services are truthful and not misleading

Updating information promptly if circumstances change

Listing Fees

Supplier directory listings are available on a paid basis. Fees are charged annually or monthly depending on the listing tier selected. Payment does not:

Constitute endorsement, recommendation, guarantee of quality or suitability of the supplier

Guarantee enquiries, leads, traffic or any business outcomes

Imply partnership, affiliation or special relationship with RuralDiversification.co.uk

Visibility and Removal

Supplier visibility depends on search engine performance, user behaviour and technical factors outside our control. We reserve the right to edit, shorten, format, refuse or remove listings at our discretion. We may remove a supplier from the directory and Collective where we believe this is necessary to protect platform integrity or user interests. Removal may occur without notice.

Paid suppliers acknowledge and accept that visibility, traffic and business outcomes cannot be guaranteed and are not refundable.

6. Refunds and Cancellation

Supplier listing fees are non-refundable except where required by law (including consumer protection legislation). Cancellation of a paid listing may be made in writing at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to remove or suspend a supplier listing at any time without refund if we believe these Terms have been breached, information is inaccurate or misleading, or the listing exposes the website to legal, reputational or operational risk.

7. Rural Diversification Collective

The Rural Diversification Collective is a network of landowners, consultants, designers, operators, suppliers and professionals sharing knowledge and contributing content related to rural development. Membership is free.

Participation does not constitute endorsement, recommendation or approval of any member or their services. Inclusion of a name, business or reference to Collective membership does not imply partnership or special relationship. We may require removal of our name, logo or badge at any time.

We may suspend or remove participation in the Collective where we believe these Terms have been breached or where it is necessary to protect platform integrity.
