On-site attendance for supporting liaison with Local Authority Conservation Officers or Historic England can also be provided.
The range of heritage services we can provide with our expertise, extends to advice on rural diversification options, design guidance for conversion schemes, the reuse of historic buildings or new development within their settings. Our knowledge of traditional materials can also contribute towards the achievement of environmentally-friendly and sustainable developments
As such, we work with a wide range of clients and our conservation and heritage planning knowledge can assist with diverse schemes relating to historic farmsteads, outbuildings, country house estates, manor houses and vineyards, where enhancement of facilities and additional accommodation can help to support local farming, tourism and hospitality sectors. Our experience can inform approaches, including where a balance is required in preserving the historic fabric of the past, while meeting the modern requirements for the future.
Based in Dorset, we extend our services across several southern counties including Somerset, Devon, Hampshire, and Wiltshire, where we have established several collaborative working relationships with architectural practices and planning specialists, enabling us to effectively serve a wider geographical area.
In order to ensure we understand any prospective client’s needs, in regards to a proposed scheme, we offer a free introductory telephone discussion. If a site visit is then agreed, this is followed by a tailored advisory guidance report to aid in the progression of a scheme.
There is no commitment until the next steps are agreed with the client. Fee proposals can be provided for any reports or planning/ listed building application packages on request. Work is only undertaken with client’s written agreement.
Where collaboration is required with the client’s project team, contractors or other specialists, the consultancy can undertake this via email, phone, online or site meetings.
