Corylus is a multi-disciplinary consultancy offering planning, architecture, landscape architecture and hydrology services to landowners and developers across the UK, with a particular concentration of work in the Cotswolds and surrounding counties.

Based on the Stowell Estate in the Cotswolds, we have a grounded understanding of rural land and the practical realities that come with it, which shapes how we approach every project we take on. We work with landowners from the earliest stage of an idea through to a planning decision, beginning with an honest conversation about aspirations and ambitions before moving into site appraisal and feasibility work.

Because planning, architecture, landscape architecture and hydrology all sit within the same practice, we are able to coordinate the core consultant team internally and manage the overall project from a single point of contact. Where specialist input is needed from ecologists, heritage consultants, highways engineers or structural and civil engineers, we bring trusted external partners into the team and continue to manage that coordination on the client’s behalf. We take a straightforward and collaborative approach, keeping the client’s vision central throughout and aiming to give practical, realistic advice at every stage.

Our project experience spans new build holiday homes, glamping and holiday let schemes, the conversion of redundant farm buildings to hospitality and events uses, and larger estate masterplanning across multiple uses. We have worked on projects including Lakes By Yoo holiday homes, fishing lakes holiday accommodation, leisure restaurant and café facilities, and a range of barn conversions.

We carry out a significant proportion of our work in the Cotswolds and surrounding counties but take on projects across the UK.
